Baseball Fever
It's been a long winter......
Dec. 24th got sick with what I thought was the flu, ended up having two surgeries (one to remove the gallbladder and one to fix a bile duct leak) so after a month of recuperation finally back at work. It's the most dismal time of year- Jan & Feb- when all I want is to sit out in the sun and.......
WATCH THE CUBS!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I am a shameless baseball addict. Keeping up with my other equally obsessed pals on their baseball blogs is helpful, but nothing is like seeing a real game on the TV (and listening to Pat and Ron on gameday audio) (if you're a Cub fan, you'll know what that means)
Working nights means you don't see the sun much in the winter anyway. I think there is only one answer to these winter/seasonal/baseball blues.....
the oh-so-unhealthy tanning bed!!!!
That, and the start of spring training.
Of course I have high hopes for this year (we always do) and if we can keep everybody somewhat healthy it's going to be a great season. If Kerry Wood ends up the closer and Matt Murton establishes himself in left field, my daughter and I will know no end of boundless joy.
Seven more weeks....and counting.........
